I am happy to record that Vishakha(my grand daughter) has passed II PUC exam with 92% overall & 96.3% in Physics,Chemistry & Biology. She wants to do BVSc(veterinary). Congrats & best wishes to dear Vishakha!
Chetu(My br-in-law Pratap’s daughter) was delivered of a female child on 27th April 2013(Saturday) at Ranga Dorai Hospital, Shankarapuram, Bangalore. The mother & baby are doing fine. Hearty congrats to Chetu & Ganesh Kamath .
Noted Flautist of Karnataka & a disciple of legendry TR Mahalingam, Vid BG Srinivas was felicitated by his disciples(including yours truly) & a Gold bracelet was presented to him on his completing 75 years at an impressive ceremony held at the Maradi Subbiah Kalyanamantapa, Hanumanthnagar, Bangalore on the 20th April 2013. Vid S Shankar a noted Vocalist presided over the function. After rendering of a few compositions by his disciples, Pancharatna Keertanes were sung under the lead voice of Vid Shankar. Papu & his colleague Dr & Mrs Prakash W Kashkhedikar left for Phoenix, Arizona on a month long tour. Dr Prakash’s daughter Apoorva is graduating from University of Arizona on 8th May 2013.

Papu & I performed the Grihapravesam of our flats on 31st March 2013 at Suraj Ganga Socrates Apartments , Kanakapura Road Bangalore 560062. The Grihapravesam was followed by Satyanarayana Puja in the 2nd floor. About 50 families who belonged to our first circle of relatives attended the function. It was well conducted by our own purohit Shri Krishna Prakash.

It is with deep regret that I record the news of the sad demise of Sri BS Visweswaria(aka Mani) at Ahmedabad on 17th February 2013. He was 77. He leaves behind his wife, Vathsala, Sons Vijaykumar Bharatiya & Shiva Prasad(Bangkok) and daughter Vandana. He was our Doddamma’s(Radhe) brother & son of Astrologer Sri BR Srinivasiah.

It is with deep regret that I record the passing away my dear nephew(son of my cousin Ahalya Venkataramiah) at Calgary,Alberta, Canada on the 26th Feb 2013. He was suffering from cancer of the liver. He was 47 & is survived by his wife Suma & son Nikhil. May God give the courage to the bereaved family to bear the cruel & untimely shock.
It is with deep regret that I wish to record the sad demise of Sri BS Srinivasa rao of Southern Railway on Saturday, 16th Feb 2013 at Shekar Hospital Bangalore. He was 85 & is survived by his wife Smt Vasanthamala & son Arun Kumar & 2 daughters. His son is married to Sarsi’s husband’s sister’s daughter. His wife Vasanthamala is the maternal aunt of Kavya(Sadu’s daughter-in-law). May his soul rest in peace.
Regret to inform that Shri Subramanya of Kushalnagar ,( father of FS Prabhakara(USA) & Father-in-law of Geetha (daughter of Markand Rao) ) passed away at Mysore on Friday,1st Feb 2013. He was over 90. May his soul rest in peace.
